Welter is one of the hardest working bands in the area and they’re back in the studio with us. We first talked with Welter back in June of 2011 and found a fun loving band that works extremely hard on their music. These guys love to rock and they have a new album out called, “On The Floor”. We catch up with the band and play several songs off of “On The Floor”. Check out the podcast and let us know what you think of it and the site itself.
Wooden Hez is a band that is unconventional, unique and raw. Punk Rock fans – this is a band you have to check out. They are an interesting combination of seasoned and new musicians. Their sound is very stripped down and the lyrics are interesting coming from the mind of Dave Pitone, whose road to the music world is anything but conventional. We enjoyed talking to Wooden Hez about their music and short history together. Take a listen, leave your comments below, and let us know what you think of the podcast and the site itself.
This week’s featured podcast is with Sidewalk Atlas! We spoke with Danny Greene, lead singer/songwriter about the years he’s dedicated to the debut album, “Stealing Time”. In between conversations about musical influences, inspirations, and writing techniques are 4 solid tracks off that debut album. Danny is very passionate about his music and can’t wait for the band to play their next show at World Cafe Live on August 24th. Leave your comments below and let us know what you think of Sidewalk Atlas!
Torri Melhart has a new EP out, “Torri Melhart, The Acoustic Session”. We feature four songs from the EP on the podcast. Torri is young and new to the music industry but you can hear her talent and potential on the songs, especially the songs that she wrote herself. One thing we do here at YLN is to give musicians a chance to grow and hone their craft. We look forward to watching Torri develop as a singer/songwriter. The Funky T is a group of talented veteran musicians who have put together a tight group with new music that gets your head boppin and your feet tappin. The band started in 2011 when Ethan and Eric, High School friends, started playing together adding Matt and Josh later. The Funky T has a nice blend of musicians who have played together for a while and new members who add a different perspective to their music. Check out the podcast and see how this band works together to make their music fun and unique. Leave your comments below and tell us what you think of the podcast and the site in general.
